Rod Mill Introduction

Rod mill, with other names of rod grinding mill or grinding rod mill, can be divided into dry type rod mill and wet type rod mill. Fote rod mill uses advanced technology of controlled feeding and discharging, and changes the traditional surface contact into line contact so that the discharging size is more even and the yield is higher.

The rod grinding mill is widely used in industries such as refractory, chemical industry, metallurgy, glass and other industries with high requirement on the uniformity of finished materials.

Rod Mill Features

1. Grinding media can contact with the ore in a line way in the grinding process. Therefore, the pin crusher can grind materials selectively;
2. The particle size is relatively uniform and there are few over-crushed particles.
3. The processing capacity of rod mill is bigger than that of ball mill for the coarse crushing.

Rod Mill Working Principle

The electro motor drives the cylinder to rotate through the reduction gears and the peripheral rack wheel reducer transmission, or the low speed synchronous motor directly drives the cylinder to rotate through the peripheral rack wheel reducer transmission. Inside the cylinder, there are proper ore grinding media-steel rod. 

Under the eccentric force and frictional force, the ore grinding media are lifted to a certain height and fall down in the state of dropping. The materials to be ground continuously go into the cylinder from the ore feeding mouth and are crushed by the moving grinding media, and then are discharged by the overflow and the force of continuous feeding to go to the next procedure.
